Treasure Hunt World ("we", "our", or "the App") is a virtual map-based exploration and multiplayer game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. No Real-World Location Data
This App does NOT access your device's GPS or real-world location. The App uses a virtual map-based position system where you choose and control your in-game location manually.
When you first open the map, you pick a starting point anywhere on the world map. Your in-game avatar moves virtually on the map — it does not track your real physical location.
Your virtual (simulated) map position is synced periodically to our servers (Firebase/Firestore) to enable multiplayer features such as nearby player discovery, PvP combat, scouting, and property visibility.
We do not collect, store, or access your real-world GPS coordinates, IP-based location, or any other form of physical location data.
2. Data We Collect
We are committed to transparency. Below is a complete list of data we collect and store:

- Display Name — Your chosen in-game name (not your real name)
- Player Code — A unique 6-digit identifier generated at account creation
- Recovery Password — Stored as a one-way hash (we cannot see your actual password)
- Firebase Anonymous UID — An anonymous device identifier for authentication
- Game Statistics — Coins, items, treasures collected, battle stats, and inventory
- Virtual Map Position — Your chosen in-game map coordinates (NOT real GPS)
- Saved Locations — Virtual markers (flags, houses, palaces) you place on the map
- Friends List — Player codes of players you add as friends
- Trade History — Records of P2P trade requests (sent, received, accepted, declined)
- App Preferences — Sound settings (background music, tap sounds), notification preferences
Data we do NOT collect:
- ❌ Real-world GPS or device location
- ❌ Real name, email address, or phone number
- ❌ Photos, contacts, or files from your device
- ❌ Device hardware info or crash logs
- ❌ Browsing history or app usage outside this App
- ❌ Financial or payment information
3. Anonymous Account
We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create your game account. We do not require your name, email, phone number, or any personal identity to play. Your account is identified only by a randomly generated anonymous user ID.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Provide and operate the game
- Enable multiplayer features (nearby players, battles, trading)
- Maintain leaderboards and rankings
- Save and sync your game progress across sessions
- Support account recovery using your Player Code and password
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
a) Google Firebase
We use Firebase for anonymous authentication, cloud data storage (Firestore), and basic analytics. Firebase's privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
b) Google AdMob
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads. The App requests non-personalized ads by default. We do not collect or share personal data for advertising purposes beyond what is required by the ad provider.

c) OpenStreetMap
The App uses map tiles from OpenStreetMap for displaying the game map. No personal data is shared with OpenStreetMap beyond standard map tile requests.
6. Data Storage and Security
All data is transmitted securely via HTTPS (encrypted in transit) and stored on Google Firebase/Firestore servers. We implement security rules to protect your data from unauthorized access.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Data is retained for as long as your account is active. Since accounts are anonymous, we cannot identify you personally from the stored data.
You may delete all your data at any time using the "Reset All Game Data" option in the Settings screen. Upon deletion, all your information is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
8. Children's Privacy
Treasure Hunt World is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete such information.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your game data through the App's profile and settings screens
- Delete all your data using "Reset All Game Data" in Settings
- Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
